I'm amused to notice that Billy Idol's forthcoming show is part of Livenation's 'Independence Day' promo for US bands coming over here.
Admittedly young mister Idol did spend his first couple of years in Long Island, but after that his parents moved to Surrey, and since then, it's always seemed to me that the more West Coast he tries to be, the more provincial and English he seems (in an endearing way).

The upside of combining my daily(ish) run with taking my script to the Post Office is that I made it there before the place shut, and hence got it in the post (win!). :)
The downside of this approach is having to stand there at the counter like a door-to-door heavy breather, trying to explain to the elderly and apparently slightly deaf woman behind the counter that I required two lots of the same postage, one to go on the outside, and one to go on the SAE inside, hence one needed to be in the form of stamps.
The only particular annoyance about that place (apart from having to go there because they've just closed the PO at the end of our road) is that they always make you take your post and stick it in the post box across the road, which usually involves explaining to a sullen, gum-chewing 14-year-old that the big red thing they're leaning on actually has a purpose beyond being somewhere to slouch on while awaiting their quarter-hourly doughnut from Gregg's the Greasemonger.

1. How old are you? I just turned 23 at the end of june. :D 2. How old is/are your child/children? (for the pregnant, use the number of months/weeks left to go) I don't have any yet. I'm due in Jan. on the 15th. I'm three months and a few days. 3. Boy/Girl? Too early to tell. I would prefer a baby boy. But my family is all sure it'll be a girl. My mom , my sister, and my grandmother all had girls and only girls. 4. Did you always want children, and were your children planned? I have wanted children since I was about eleven years old. This child wasn't planned per-say, but we both knew it could happen, being that sex unprotected usually leads to pregnancy. :p 5. Do you ever wish your experiences of parenthood were different? Why? I wish my boyfriend would come home when he says he is. 6. What do you think your children will be like as adults/older children? I think they'll all be fighters like their dad. It's in their blood. (He's a comanche (sp?) native american.) I think they'll be big thinkers like their mom. And I think they'll have huge open hearts like both of us. 7. Name three things you wish for your children. Hhmm. I want them to be well adjusted, happy, and artistic/creative people. 8. Which attributes have your children taken from each parent/family member? I donno yet. I hope they get his persistance and work ethic. I hope they get my creativity and love for reading. 9. Did your experience differ from what you expected? How so? So far it has. I had an ectopic pregnancy in october and this pregnancy is WAY different. I also feel a lot more different then I thought I would. 10. Do you want more children? I do. But not for a good while. We wouldn't be able to afford it. And I'd like to have a house or more stable living situation before we consider more kids. He wants a gaggle of kids. I want two or three.

Long, hard day at work. I definately earned going to sushi afterwards. I went and got Lanie and we met Matt right at Daimasu, which as a trio is our favorite place for sushi and fine japanese cuisine. Something about the way they DO do, does do make me pretty content. I had something called a kyoto box and it was notable that their sashimi was sliced VERY THICKLY. I had a hard time finishing the whole box - it was good eating. Apparently they just switched up the staff, or the cooks, or something. I'm not sure what. But our server was almost always this really cranky lady and this time it was this snappy chap of a lad who was quite quick with bringing us things we needed. All and all, a good experience. Afterwards we went and bought some flowers at Save-On that I would later drop by accident. Then when we were at Matt's he showed me the new Metal Gear game for the playstation 3 which looked kind of neat. I mean, I'm not really the gamer I used to be I don't feel. I don't put much time toward it anymore. But that game did look pretty neat, and he was fighting some chick in a crazy tentacle suit called Laughing Octopus and I was all like SCHWING even though it was a video game person. Crazy chicks in octopus outfits, report to Shelby's cave immediately, I need to re-assess your tax return.
So I don't know whats up this weekend, as is the style at the time. For in that sleep of sin, what kingdom may come? What of the limitless sex and violence in the wake of RagNaRok? Yeah Gwar.
I'ma do these journal entries now. (Not the blog type but the number type)

Me & my mum just blew up a telly by throwing it into a skip. It was FUCKING AWESOME. We laughed all the way to the new TV shop.
In other news, my Steampunk costume is now complete and I am just about to try it all on together Eeeeeee!
Due to over-excitement, I actually have *two* steampunk-styled jackets. If anyone would like to wear my spare one, let me know. It's slightly less than me-size.
Hawkins Bazaar do great moustaches too.
